Subclass 190 is a skilled nominated visa allotted to skilled workers, who are willing to live and work in Australia. To apply for this visa, the applicant needs to be recommended by a state or territory government agency in Australia.
An Expression of Interest (EOI) needs to be submitted first in order to apply for subclass 190 visa. The EOI can be lodged through SkillSelect, Australia’s online immigration system. On the point based system, your minimum point score should be 60. Consequently, you access a nomination from a state or territory government agency of Australia. Once selected, you receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the subclass 190 visa. Within 60 days of receiving the ITA, you need to apply for the visa.

  • The applicant must be associated with one of the occupations from Australia’s consolidated
    skilled occupation list (CSOL).
  • Secure 60 points in the point based system including one’s age, qualification, proficiency in

  • The applicant should be under 50 years of age.
  • The applicant should get his positive skills assessment done from a known authority.
  • IELTS certification, in English language according to the requirement of the state, must be
    done.
  • The applicant should possess the required work experience.
  • The applicant should lodge for an Expression of Interest (EOI).
  • The applicant must apply for the State sponsorship.
  • The applicant must provide with proper health and character certificates.
  • Once the visa is granted, the applicant must live for 2 years in the Australian state or
    territory that he has obtained sponsorship from.
